Starch Testing Solution 1/2 fl oz in Brewing Accessories and Tools
Put about teaspoon of wort (no husk or grain material allowed) on a white plate, and add a few drops of starch testing
solution. If the wort changes color - turns dark purple or black, then you still have
starch in your mash that needs to be converted to sugars (keep mashing).
When conversion is complete, there will be no color change.
Discard the test sample, as the iodine is toxic.
