Weyermann Abbey Malt - 1lb
This Abbey malt is formulated to bring out the distinct characteristics of Belgian ales and lagers.
It has a very distinct and malty richness along with a pungent biscuit aroma and flavor.
This character is compliments many types of beers and should be used when a firm biscuit or toast character is desired.
Common styles are Belgian Ales (PALE, DUBBEL, TRIPEL, Amber and Brown), English Brown and Pale Ales,, and Oktoberfest and Marzan.
Use up to 50% of the total grist, but it can be used in smaller amounts of 5 to 15% as a substitute for biscuit malt or special roast
Abbey Malt® is a highly friable base malt with pronounced malty aromas,
and assertive flavors such as honey, nuts as well as hints of
chocolate. Suitable for traditional Abbey ales, as well as Trappist
beers. Also well suited for a full range for Belgian beer styles,
including fruit beers.
